Just like any other devices we use in our daily routine, control panels for gate automation can have more or less complicated electronics. Their functions are often limited to a few fundamental ones, but one can observe an increasing number of more elaborate electonic systems. Not only do these aforementioned systems allow full motor control but also ensure safety for the gate’s surroundings and proper functoning of other accessories.

In the table below you will find information about basic and advanced functions of control boards. These control boards have been divided according to the type of gates they control. This division is necessary to ensure clarity.

Control panel CAME ZLJ24 for sliding gates boasts the following functions:

CONTROL FUNCTIONS

  1. Complete opening of a single leaf
Allows one to open a single leaf of the twin-leaf gate, so that only half of the gate’s width is utilized for entry. This function is activated by a preset button (channel)
on the radio transmitter.
  1. Partial opening of a single leaf
Allows one leaf to be partially opened to a preset position. This leaves the gate ajar and enables one to walk or bike through without the complete opening
of the leaf. This function is activated by preset button (channel) on the radio transmitter.
  1. Open only
This function is activated by a preset button (channel) on the radio transmitter.
  1. Close only
This function is activated by a preset button (channel) on the radio transmitter.
  1. Open – Stop – Close – Stop
Allows opening of the gate and pausing the motion of leafs in their current position before reversing the direction of the movement. The opening or closing of the
gate may be ceased at any moment. All of these actions are initiated separately by repeatedly pressing the preset button on radio transmitter
  1. Open – Close
Allows the gate to be closed or opened, but doesn’t offer the ability to pause the motion of the leafs. This function is activated by a preset button (channel) on the radio
transmitter.
  1. Maintained action
Allows the gate to opened or closed by holding down the preset button. This function is usually operated by a designated person who has an unobstructed view of the gate and its range of motion. It is thus an excellent solution for heavy industrial gates under camera surveillance.
  1. Delayed opening of one leaf
In the case of gates whose leafs block one another this function has one leaf auto-lock and allow the other to initiate opening before starting to open as well.
  1. Delayed closing of one leaf
In the case of gates whose leafs block one another this function has one leaf auto-lock and allow the other to initiate closing before starting to close as well.

SAFETY FUNCTIONS

  1. Self-diagnosis of safety devices
Allows the control board to monitor and assess the functioning of phototubes, safety edges and other safety accessories before opening and closing of the gate.
This function is predominantly available for 24V drives and the latest 230V models.
  1. Warning lights
Has the lights begin to flash a couple of seconds before the opening of the gate in order to warn pedestrians or other people in the vicinity. the flashing can usually
be regulated to last anywhere from a few to a dozen or so seconds.
  1. Re-opening during closing
Has the gate reverse the motion if the first line of phototubes detects any obstacles.
  1. Re-closing during opening
Has the gate reverse the motion if the second line of phototubes detects any obstacles.
  1. Emergency stop
Emergency stop button.
  1. Partial stop
Has the gate stop if the second line of phototubes detects any obstacles.
  1. Amperometric sensor adjuster
In 24V models it’s possible to adjust the pressure threshold on the potentiometer.
  1. Obstacle detection device
Allows the phototubes to detect any obstacles before initiating the motion of the leafs.

OUTLETS AND ADJUSTERS

  1. Warning light outlet
Depending on control unit’s power supply, each control board should be fitted with 24V and 230V warning light outlet. There are also 12V outlets but they are a lot less common.
  1. Cycle lamp outlet
Allows a warning light to be installed with a built-in cycle counter which mainly provides data for servicing.
  1. Antenna outlet
Allows an external antenna to be installed solely with the help of the RG58 shielded cable, which enables the radio coverage to be increased from a dozen or so up to several dozen meters.
  1. 24V AC outlet
Allows a variety of accessories to be supplied with power. Common examples of said accessories which are supplied with a 24V current are electronic locks, digital keypads, inductive loop detectors and others.
  1. “Gate Opened” light outlet
Allows a diode to be installed anywhere at home, at office or in a security room. This diode signals if the gate is open or partially open. It is particularly useful in places where there is no view of the gate.
  1. Running time adjuster
Allows exact running time of the gate motor to be established. The preset time should be sufficient for a full range of motion and the time of disconnection should be set with a 3-5 seconds long margin of error.
  1. Electronic lock impact system
Allows the electronic hook to release and open the leaf, when the tension between the motor, the mechanical resistor and the leaf is neutralized.
  1. Automatic closing time adjuster
Allows the gate to close automatically after preset delay. This function is recommended when the gate is fitted with at least one pair of phototubes.
  1. Electronic lock outlet
Electronic lock is recommended for gates with a filling degree of 50% to 100%. It is also advised in the case of adverse weather conditions.
  1. Deceleration adjuster
Allows the leaf to decelerate just before finishing the closing and opening motion in order to prevent the leaf from violently hitting the mechanical resistor. Adjustment depends on weight and length of the leaf.
  1. Velocity adjuster
Allows to set the leaf’s velocity before the deceleration phase. Adjustment depends on weight and length of the leaf.
